Experiencing Stone Age

Year 3 had a great time this week fire building and den making! Children have spent the last two weeks collecting sticks from the school grounds in preparation for fire building.

A look into the past

The children were able to make a spark using a fire stick and used this process to help build their own fires just like the Stone Age people would have done. It was very exciting!

Den making process

When completing the den making task, the children had no instructions to operate from rather they had to think for themselves and find the best solution to creating a shelter using bamboo poles and sheets representing animal skins. Well done Year 3.
